Work begins to create an integrated network of health services in Alto Paraná and Canindeyú

Asunción, IP Agency.- Representatives of the Social Security Institute (IPS), the Ministry of Public Health and the Tesãi Foundation began work to establish an integrated network of health services in the departments of Alto Paraná and Canindeyú.

The integrated network has the support of Itaipu Binacional to improve the health care response. From Itaipu they reported that the inter-institutional task responds to the indications of President Santiago Peña to work in coordination to improve health care at the national level.

The binational, through the Itaipu Health Working Group, will provide logistical support to carry out the activities.

Until this Friday, work meetings will take place for days with medical professionals from the institutions involved.

The Ministry of Health adopted the integrated network strategy in 2015 and is currently part of the fundamental axes of the IPS, which is working on its implementation and strengthening. During the work days, the necessary aspects are analyzed to guarantee an effective response to the needs of citizens.
