Asuncion, IP Agency.- The Ministry of Labor, Employment and Social Security (MTESS) established, through Resolution No. 507/2024, the readjustment of the minimum salaries and daily wages of private sector workers throughout the national territory and is effective as of July 1. The new monthly minimum wage is G. 2,798,309, and the daily minimum wage is G. 107,627.
The daily wage for monthly paid workers is G. 93,277 and the hourly wage is G. 11,660. For the night shift, the minimum monthly wage is G. 3,637,802, the daily wage is G. 139,915, the daily wage for monthly paid workers is G. 121,260 and the hourly wage is G. 17,323.
Salaries for part-time workers are also adjusted: the minimum wage per daytime hour is G. 13,453 and the minimum wage per nighttime hour is G. 19,988. For the Dual Apprenticeship and Apprenticeship Contracts regime, the minimum monthly wage is G. 1,678,986 and the daily wage is G. 64,576.
In addition, it is established that all employers must publicize the minimum daytime and nighttime wages by posting signs in visible places in the workplace.
Adjustment for specified miscellaneous activities
The resolution also sets specific minimum wages and salaries for various activities and professions in sectors such as commerce, industry, manufacturing, services, construction, agriculture, transportation, and more. For example, in the commerce sector, longshoremen will have a monthly salary of G. 2,826,302 and a daily wage of G. 108,704, while workers in commercial, industrial and private offices will have a monthly salary of G. 2,840,402 and a daily wage of G. 109,246.
In industry and manufacturing, workers in marble and tile and mosaic factories will have a monthly salary of G. 2,840,402 and a daily wage of G. 109,246. Workers in clothing and textile industries will have a monthly salary of G. 2,832,940 and a daily wage of G. 108,959.
First-class shoemakers will receive a monthly salary of G. 3,140,653 and a daily wage of G. 120,794, while carpentry officers will have a monthly salary of G. 3,086,124 and a daily wage of G. 118,697.
In the service sector, first-class officers in mechanical workshops will have a monthly salary of G. 3,642,847 and a daily wage of G. 140,110. Workers in private security and surveillance companies will receive a monthly salary of G. 4,197,464 and a daily wage of G. 161,441.
Journalists, specifically editors-in-chief, will have a monthly salary of G. 4,144,569.
In the banking sector, the starting salaries for civil servants will be G. 4,520,804, with increases according to seniority. In the construction sector, first-class bricklayers and carpenters will have a monthly salary of G. 3,272,760 and a daily wage of G. 125,875, while painters will receive a monthly salary of G. 2,826,302 and a daily wage of G. 108,704.

It is worth mentioning that, in Paraguay, some occupations have their minimum wage differentiated because, throughout our history, salaries were established as a result of negotiations between unions, employers and the government, seeking to establish salary conditions that are fair and appropriate for each type of work.
