Work against time to formalize the lists of candidates for the Neuquén election

The provincial electoral judge, Alejandra Bozzano, signed yesterday the resolutions for the officialization and non-officialization of the lists who will compete in the April 16 elections. In the electoral court in charge of Alejandra Bozzano there was hard work throughout the weekend to reach the deadlines. Total, the staff analyzed 41 filesnumber corresponding to each of the parties seeking to contest the election, but with 187 bodies in total.

The volume was representative of the number of lists submitted for the provincial categories, but also for those that will compete in the 52 municipalities and promotion commissions that will renew their authorities in April.

Candidates and their collectors

The rest of the gubernatorial candidates go with unique lists: Paul Cervi with that of Together for Change; Carlos Eguia with Comply; and Patricia Jure with the FIT Unit.

In addition to the provincial categories, mayor will be voted in eight first category municipalities. They are Neuquén, Centenario, Zapala, San Martín de los Andes, Chos Malal, Junín de los Andes, Senillosa and El Chañar. In the capital there are nine candidates.

On April 16 there will also be elections to renew local authorities in the 13 second category municipalities, ten third category and 21 promotion commissions.

The deadline for alliances and parties expires in March


Electoral justice still has one more step ahead, next month, to finish confirming what will be the offer of lists and parties available in the April 16 elections.

A month before the elections, more precisely on March 17, the deadline for Judge Alejandra Bozzano to resolve the recognition of alliances and for the parties to conclude with their political personality procedures definitive.

Three alliances were presented for this election: the PJ and El Frente y la Participación, under the name Front of All Neuquino; the one of the Left Front Unity that make up the PTS, the Socialist Left, the PO and the MST; and Together for Change, with the integration of the ARI Civic Coalition and the UCR. The incorporation of the Federal Republican Meeting had also been announced, but the latter ended up saying that it was withdrawing its support.

This electoral front is one of the most questioned, since the parties that were left out, such as the PRO, have come out once morest the use of the stamp. There were also proposals from radical leaders regarding the alleged lack of a quorum in the party convention that authorized the candidacies.
