Woodstock Festival opens in Korea… First outside the US

The famous American rock festival ‘Woodstock Festival’ will be held in Korea in July this year. It is the first time that the Woodstock Festival is held outside the United States.

SGC Entertainment, a performance agency, said, “In celebration of the 70th anniversary of the Korean War armistice, ‘Woodstock Music & Art Fair 2023’ was held at the Hantangang Ecological Landscape Complex in Pocheon, Gyeonggi Province from July 28 to 30 this year with the slogan of ‘freedom, peace and love’. open,” he said on the 6th. The cast members were not disclosed, but SGC Entertainment explained that they are in the process of signing contracts with regarding 30 teams.

The Woodstock Festival was first held in 1969 near Woodstock, New York. A large number of contemporary stars such as Jimi Hendrix and Janis Joplin participated, and more than 400,000 spectators came to express freedom, peace, and warism through music. Since then, the festival has become a symbol of resistance culture.
