England beat Australia by three goals to one Women’s Soccer World Cup made it to the finals where the English team will face Spain on Sunday.
England qualified for the FIFA Women’s World Cup final for the first time in history in the second semi-final played at Stadium Australia in Sydney on Wednesday.
Ella Toon gave England the lead in the first half but Australian Sam Kerr scored shortly after to level the match at one apiece.
Thanks to Lauren Hamp’s goal, the English team once again became heavy and after that, England did not look back. Alicia Russo’s third goal sealed England’s victory.
England also became the second team in the world to knock out the host of the tournament in the semi-final stage. In the semi-finals of the 2003 World Cup, Germany won against the host USA 3-0.
It was Australia’s second defeat in their last nine World Cup matches, although they had lost four of the six matches against England.
England are unbeaten in 19 games in FIFA World Cup competitions, including the last 13 matches of the event.
England will face Spain for the trophy on Sunday.

Earlier on Tuesday, Spain took on Sweden in the first semi-final of the mega event after Kante’s match Defeated by two goals to one and made it to the finals.
The highlight of the match played at Eden Park in Auckland, New Zealand was that the three goals of both teams came just nine minutes before the end of the match.
Spain’s first goal was scored by Selma Peralvillo in the 85th minute of the match, just a few seconds later Swedish player Rebecca scored a goal to tie the match at one, one.
In the final moments of the match, Spanish player Olga Carmon sent her team to the final with a wonderful goal.
Meanwhile, FIFA has said that the women’s event is becoming popular with the public and the semi-final played on Tuesday was watched by a record 43,000 fans in the stadium.
The World Cup administration has said that the 29 matches played in New Zealand, co-hosts with Australia, were watched live by more than seven lakh fans at various grounds.
