Ithaca ​College women’s Track & ​Field Team Shines at Nazareth College Cup

The Ithaca College women’s track and field team made​ a ‌strong showing ⁤at the Nazareth College Cup on Saturday,securing the‍ second-place position out of ten participating schools with an impressive 121 points. Combined⁣ with Rochester’s score, the two colleges amassed 183 points, placing them second in ⁣the conference standings behind the victors, Geneseo and ⁣Nazareth.

A⁢ standout moment for⁢ the Bombers⁢ came in the 4×200-meter relay. The​ team,⁢ comprised of Aynisha McQuillar, Ava Butler, Natalie MacArthur, and Marykate Rudnicki, ⁢not only won the ​event but also⁢ set a new school record with a blistering time of 1:44.85. This⁤ shattered the previous IC record of ⁤1:45.49, set back in 2012.

The high jump event saw‌ the Ithaca College women dominate,claiming three of the top five spots. Celia Ryan emerged victorious, clearing a height of 1.58 meters. Madeleine Wright followed closely behind, securing second place ⁢with a jump of⁤ 1.53 meters. Lydia Barber also ⁣contributed to the team’s‍ success, finishing fifth at 1.53 meters.

The Bombers continued their impressive performance in the pole vault, securing⁣ four placements in the top six. Talia Hutchinson and Bree Boyle were among the top performers, showcasing their exceptional skills in this ‍demanding event.

The⁤ Ithaca College Bombers track team showcased their prowess at the recent indoor championships, delivering impressive performances across a range of events. ⁤ Athletes stepped onto the podium, setting personal bests‌ and solidifying their‌ place among Division ‍III’s elite.

Laura Suppa and Rachel​ Larson proved their dominance in⁢ the 60-meter hurdles, securing second and ​third place respectively with times of 8.87 and 8.88 ​seconds. ⁤‌ Suppa’s speed didn’t end there,as she ⁣also qualified for the 60-meter dash,finishing sixth in the final with a time of⁤ 8.08 seconds.

Lily ​Seyfert took home second place honors in the shot put with a powerful throw of 12.28 meters. Simultaneously occurring, Alexis Brown demonstrated her versatility with a ⁣third-place ⁢finish in the triple jump at 10.62 meters and an⁤ eighth-place finish in the long jump⁣ at 5.04 meters.

The ⁣Distance Medley Relay team, composed of Joy Petersen, Lyla‌ Powers, Carolina Cedraschi,‌ and Emily Johnson, stormed to a third-place finish in an impressive 13:11.40, ranking them 16th in Division III.

Further adding to the team’s​ success, Petersen placed fifth in the 800-meter ​run with‍ a time of⁣ 2:22.98, while ​Logan Brasacchio clocked in at 19:07.34 to take seventh in the 5000-meter run. In the 400-meter dash, MacArthur secured fourth place with a time of 1:00.84, trailed closely by Butler in seventh place at 1:01.59.

Ithaca Bombers Track and Field Dominate at RPI Liberty⁣ League Championships

The Ithaca College track and ⁢field team made a strong showing at the recent RPI Liberty League Championships, with standout performances from several athletes. Amongst the⁢ highlights, Cameron Ting and Julia Ryba⁣ teamed up in the 4×400-meter relay, clocking ⁤in‍ at a remarkable 4:10.12 and claiming a ‍commendable sixth-place finish.

Ting and⁤ Ryba’s performance underscored the team’s dedication and talent, setting the stage⁤ for continued success ‌in the upcoming seasons.

Looking ahead, the Bombers will be back on home turf for the annual ​Bomber Invitational, scheduled for February 1-2.This event ​promises to be another‍ showcase of‌ athleticism and determination as the team competes against regional rivals.
