Women’s T20 World Cup 2023; India will face Pakistan first; The competition is out
The ICC has announced the schedule of the Women’s T20 World Cup to be held in South Africa next year. The organizers have released the schedules for the 10-team tournament.
India’s matches will begin with a match once morest Pakistan. The teams are divided into two groups. The defending champions Australia, New Zealand, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and South Africa are in Group A. India has been placed in Group B along with Pakistan, England, West Indies and Ireland.
Australia will begin their fight to retain the World Cup with a match once morest New Zealand on February 11. On February 11, the hosts South Africa and Sri Lanka will go into battle.
Each team will play the other four teams in their group once in the group games, which will be played until February 21. At the end of the group stage, the top two teams from each group will play in the semi-finals. The top two finishers in each group will qualify for the semi-finals.
The final of the Women’s T20 World Cup will be held in Cape Town on February 26. There are reserve days for semi-finals and finals. Each team will compete once morest each other in the group stage.
