Teams from Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, Lebanon, Laos, Malaysia and Bhutan are participating in the women’s football tournament.
Under the leadership of captain Maria Jameel Khan, Pakistan tied the match 0-0 against Malaysia on Thursday.

The Pakistani team last traveled to Saudi Arabia in January this year to participate in the four-nation tournament in which Comoros and Morocco also participated.
The Pakistani team lost 2-1 to Morocco before beating Comoros, but ended the tournament in impressive fashion, drawing 1-1 against strong Saudi Arabia.
