There are exactly ten days left until the start of the FIFA Women’s World Cup, in Australia. And, to take advantage, Apple announced today that your podcast “After the Whistle”released at the end of last year on the eve of the men’s tournament (in Qatar), will get a second season.

Presented by Brendan Hunt (Coach Beard, from “Ted Lasso”) e Rebecca Lowe (and NBC Sports), the podcast will, like last year, comment on the main events of the tournament as the matches unfold. The program will also have special guests, conversations regarding off-field events and more.

Apple Senior Vice President of Services Eddy Cue commented on the announcement:

We are very proud that “After the Whistle” will be back for another season to bring listeners all the World Cup action this summer. Brendan and Rebecca’s passion and excitement for the sport is unmatched, and we can’t wait for fans around the world to tune in.

Produced by Apple News and presented by State Farm, the new season of the podcast will premiere on July 19 — exactly one day before the start of the Cup — and will be available in 102 countries/regions. According to Apple, multiple episodes will be released each week, always hours following the end of a major game.

Last year, it is worth remembering, the program had guests like Jason Sudeikis and Brett Goldstein (both de “Ted Lasso”), além de Glennon Doyle, Abby Wambach, Steve Kerr, Seth Meyers e Steve Nash.

The time to cheer is coming! ⚽️
