The South African selection won thanks to a double signed Hildah Magaia (63rd, 71st), while Rosella Ayane reduced the gap for the national team in the 80th minute.
Even if Morocco failed in the final step, this CAN will have been a great success both on the sporting level and in terms of organization. The national team has confirmed its rise to power in recent years, achieving its best performance in the history of its participation in the CAN, while this edition broke the historic record for the number of spectators present at the stadium during a match of women’s football in Africa.
