More than 150 Santandereans were trained in emotional well-being, mental health and violence prevention; thanks to the work of Santander Government, through the Secretariat for Women and Gender Equityalternatives are provided as reparation measures for their reestablishment in society.
“During the year 2022, we have reached the municipalities of Vélez Lebrija, Floridablanca, Simacota and Los Santos with this great strategy. Our goal for the year 2023 is to continue developing this same dynamic in other municipalities of Santander”, he claimed María Fernanda Artavia Pardo, Secretary for Women and Gender Equality of the department.
The trainings also include other physical activity spaces such as dance therapy and economic strengthening workshops, focused on crafts, balloon twisting, beauty, cooking, among others.
On this occasion, the turn was for Floridablanca, where the women participated in socialization, recreational activities and a Christmas craft workshop, “The dance therapy surprised me, we had a great time, we had fun, we relaxed, we got rid of all that stress and we learned to make Christmas dolls”highlighted Sandra Milena Mesa, a resident of the La Cumbre neighborhood.
“We thank the Governor for taking us into account in these kinds of projects for us ladies, because we are long-suffering women, victims of violence, we have no support, nor do we receive help in any way, so we ask the Governor to, for please continue to make these spaces that teach us to improve ourselves ”, pointed out Maria Presentation Castiblanco, beneficiary victim of the armed conflict.
