“Women can do everything”

The dream of a young woman passionate regarding driving came true this week in Aluminé. Flavia Müller is 33 years old and became the first ambulance driver in her town. In dialogue with RÍO NEGRO Diary He shared the emotion that his work at the Aluminé Area hospital generates in him.

«Until a while ago I worked as a taxi driver, with my mother» narrates the young mother of two children who joined the health institution’s staff this week.

As detailed, he participated in the last contest that requested a driver for the institution’s services, including referral and transportation of medications. “I signed up without telling my family because I had a lot of fears,” Flavia confessed.

The woman born in the town had participated in another call but did not have all the requirements, despite being a professional driver and having years of experience behind the wheel. “The ambulance is something else and I had insecurities, but I decided and now I am very happy,” he said..

“This Thursday I have to go to Zapala and on Monday I will have my first shift at the hospital so in case of any emergency I will go out in the ambulance,” she said enthusiastically.

For the resident of Aluminé, the officialization of her incorporation is a milestone in the town and serves to “motivate more women to play for their dreams.” He also considered that it marks the “breakdown of a structure, which always saw men as capable of everything, but today we women demonstrate with actions that we can do everything.”

Flavia invited all the women to participate in the calls, leave their contacts in companies and risk what they project. «On Thursday they told me that I had been selected, this week I was introduced to my colleagues and today I am already working, this is an example that it is worth dreaming»said.
