A 25-year-old woman, eight months pregnant, lost her son following suffering a traffic accident on the La Tebaida – Armenia road, near the Club Campestre roundregarding.
The citizen was a passenger on an Auteco motorcycle with the license plate XEP-82D, driven by her sentimental partner. The information was confirmed by the Traffic and Transportation Section, Setra, of the Quindío Police.
After passing the road interchange, and due to facts that are the subject of investigation by the authorities, the motorcycle driver collided with the rear of a Chevrolet license plate FWX-151 truck.
The motorcycle driver suffered fractures in his 2 arms while the pregnant mother reportedly suffered a hip fracture.
Paramedics arrived at the scene of the events and transferred those affected to the emergency room of the San Juan de Dios hospital in Armenia. The woman had to have a cesarean section, since the hit of the sinister road endangered the 2 lives. Minutes following arriving at the care center and following the medical procedure, the doctors confirmed that the baby had no vital signs.
The criminal mobile unit of the Highway Police carried out the technical inspection of the baby’s corpse. The driver of the van was uninjured. The hypothesis that the authorities handle is that, apparently, the driver of the motorcycle would not have taken enough distance with the vehicle that was in front of him.
