A woman, whose age is still unknown, was murdered in the Barrio Bicentenario, in Caracas, following she tried to protect a child from a man who threatened them with a firearm.
The victim was identified as Rosa del Carmen Uscanga, who left two children, one of them a minor.
The event was recorded in the Carapita sector, where the subject claimed when some children played with fireworks.
Witnesses claimed that the subject was complaining regarding the noise caused by the fireworks. At some point, he drew a firearm and went so far as to fire several shots into the air.
The victim appeared at the site to help the threatened infants, so that they might be protected. She protected a minor, taking him to his parents’ house.
However, the suspect followed her and struggled, at which point the woman fell to the ground due to a shot that hit her in the intercostal region.
