A Rawalpindi court has sent a woman who escaped by running over a highway policeman under a car to jail on judicial remand.
The woman Farah, who ran away after crushing the highway police officer under the vehicle, was presented by the police in the court of Civil Judge Dr. Mumtaz Hanjara, where the police requested a 5-day physical remand of the arrested accused Farah.
The court was told that the incident of speeding on the highway was on January 1.
Lawyer Safai stated that the police was asleep for 113 days, the police woke up after 112 days after the video went viral on social media, no one was injured, the woman cannot be physically remanded constitutionally. This case is a case of discharge, the request for physical remand should be dismissed.

The court asked the investigating officer how to apply section 324 of attempted murder, to which the investigating officer replied that the accused deliberately rammed the vehicle on the officer with the intent to kill, it is a heinous crime, it becomes attempted murder. Vehicle documents are to be recovered from the accused, voice test is to be conducted.
Later, the court rejected the request of the police for physical remand and sent the arrested accused Farah to Adiala Jail on 14 days judicial remand. On the occasion of appearance, the accused Farah was brought to the court in a heavy presence of police.

In this regard, the spokesperson of the Motorway Police said that the incident took place on January 1, 2024, after which an FIR was registered against the female driver in Naseerabad police station, Rawalpindi.
The spokesman says that no exception will be taken against those who violate the law.
