Fighting to Walk Again After Senseless Attack Takes Her Leg

Last Friday, the repetitive whir of surgical tools filled the air once more, bringing exêsquisite pain and uncertainty back into focus. It was another surgery, this time on her remaining leg – a procedure that could determine whether she will ever walk again.

The woman, who had already lost one leg the night an explosive shredded her life in a blast at her doorstep.

Hidden away in hospitals, her voice reached out those listening. She shared

her story, wanting to expose the brutal reality of the attack that shattered her world.

“What has been done to us?” she wrote in a letter.

“Why? By whom? How?”

The explosion ripped through the front door of her home on a quiet night in November, leaving her reeling with agonizing injuries. Though she survived, her reality now revolves around relentless pain, the threat of losing yet another limb, and a future shrouded in fear.

The perpetrator remains at large.

But her own struggles for survival remain at the forefront.

“I am defeated, I am silent, I am sad,” the woman wrote. “But the injury that is not yet under control – what will our future look like? It’s all unclear, there are so many questions.”

to attempt complex procedures.
