HOUSTON, Texas – In a tragic incident, Houston police are currently investigating the fatal shooting of a woman inside Ralston Discount Liquor store, located in southwest Houston.
Officers from the Houston Police Department rushed to the scene after receiving emergency calls regarding a shooting at the liquor store on South Post Oak Road, situated between Trafalgar Drive and Grapevine Street, around 12:45 p.m.
Police were present to console family members who arrived at the store Tuesday afternoon in shock over the news. Investigators have chosen to withhold the victim’s identity for now but confirmed that she suffered multiple gunshot wounds.
Homicide detectives are en route to 14370 South Post Oak Road after a fatal shooting of a female inside a business at about 12:45 pm.

The grim discovery was made by another employee who arrived for work and stumbled upon the horrific scene, immediately contacting law enforcement authorities to report the shooting.
“Absolutely a sad day for family and friends of the victim, for this community; any type of violence like this is always an atrocity,” expressed Officer Robyn Barcak, underscoring the emotional toll such events take on local neighborhoods.
While police have stated that it’s possible this shooting was an isolated incident, they remain vigilant and are thoroughly considering all possibilities as they search for a suspect.
