A 40-year-old woman, identified as Kelly Gleeson, believed she had food poisoning following vomiting all day. She went to sleep, but she didn’t wake up. The case took place in a municipality in England, on December 29.
Speaking to the Manchester Evening News, the woman’s 17-year-old daughter, Madinson, said she found her mother unconscious regarding an hour following she went to bed.
The emergency medical service was triggered by Madison and her father, but the paramedics were unable to revive Kelly, who did not resist and died due to a pulmonary embolism.
Pulmonary embolism is caused by blockage of the arteries in the lungs by blood clots. The condition is serious and can lead to death if not treated immediately.
