INTERFAX.RU – In the Belgorod region, the cleansing of the border settlements of the Graivoronsky district continues, into which saboteurs penetrated on May 22, a woman died in the process of evacuating the civilian population, it is still too early for the evacuees to return home, reported in Telegram Governor of the region Vyacheslav Gladkov.
“Yesterday, during evacuation measures (residents are now in temporary accommodation centers in Stary Oskol, the Yakovlevsky district and the Ivnyansky district), a woman born in 1941 died. (…) The reasons are now being established (…)”, he said.
According to him, the “cleansing” of the territory by security forces continues in the region.
“There are two wounded civilians in those settlements that the enemy entered,” the head of the region wrote.
Addressing the residents of Grayvoron District, who temporarily left for safe areas, he told them that it was not worth returning home yet.
“We will immediately inform, and I will inform you on my social networks, and the heads of local government will bring the information when it is safe,” Gladkov added.
“We are waiting for the completion of the counter-terrorist operation, which was announced yesterday (…)”, – added the head of the region.
On May 22, Gladkov reported that as a result of several attacks on the Graivoronsky urban district, eight people were injured.
He also reported on the penetration of a Ukrainian sabotage group into the region. “A sabotage and reconnaissance group of the Armed Forces of Ukraine has entered the territory of the Graivoronsky district. The armed forces of the Russian Federation, together with the Border Service, the National Guard and the FSB, are taking the necessary measures to eliminate the enemy,” Gladkov wrote.
A regime of counter-terrorist operation has been introduced in the region.
