Woman charged in California for fentanyl-fueled deaths of twins
A 22-year-old mother has been charged with the deaths of her 3-year-old twin sons following allegedly consuming fentanyl, the Los Angeles District Attorney’s Office said Tuesday, July 16.

Jestice James faces two counts of murder and two counts of child abuse under special circumstances.
The incident occurred last Thursday, July 11, when emergency crews responded to a call at a home in the San Fernando Valley to save the lives of Josiah and Jestine James.
Both children were taken to hospital in critical condition.
Josiah died that same day, while Jestine was declared deceased two days later on July 13.
If convicted as charged, James faces life in prison.
The woman is being held on $4 million bail and is scheduled to make her first court appearance on Tuesday, July 16, where she will be read the charges.

The case is being investigated by the Los Angeles Police Department, which has asked the public for help in providing information on the case.
