The woman who ransacked her own house to escape with her ex-husband was arrested. The incident took place last May, but the police recently found out that the house was robbed by the same young woman.
Incidentally, Jyotiram Shedge is a young estate manager from Mumbai. Shedge and his wife Payal Shedge lived in Malad. Last year, both of them went to visit relatives in Sangli. However, by the time he returned, he noticed that the lock of the door of the house had been broken and jewelry had been stolen.
The loss was estimated at eight lakh rupees, including the money and jewelery kept in the cupboard inside. Later, Jyotiram Shedge approached the Kurar police station in Malad East. A complaint was filed once morest the unidentified thief. Although the incident took place last year, now a detailed report is coming from the forensic lab. It was understood that there was no fingerprint of anyone from outside. The only fingerprint that was there was Payal’s. Similarly, the door of the house was broken from inside.
Payal was questioned by the police. Payal revealed the truth under constant questioning. Payal said that she robbed her husband to go with her ex-husband. Shedge had gone to get the car serviced just before going to Sangli. It was then that Payal committed theft and handed over the jewelery and money to her ex-husband. Later they broke the door etc. to make it look like looting. Payal did not agree to enter Shdge’s house until he went to Sangli following the vehicle was serviced. The search is on for Payal’s ex-husband.
