Fionnghuala Maguire, 35, mother of a baby boy, issues harrowing warning following narrowly surviving two serious medical episodes linked to his tanning addiction. Using sunbeds intensively without protection for 15 yearsshe says she is “lucky to be alive” and warns once morest the dangers of this practice.

Started at the age of 14, his habit of tanning almost every day had dramatic consequences. Despite the success of her treatment, she was newly diagnosed with another cancer. Fionnghuala now encourages tanners to avoid sunbeds, highlighting the danger she underestimated for years.

“I was on my deathbed twice, and my son might have ended up without his mother,” she confides.
