Schrems – A wolf was sighted on Wednesday in a settlement area in Pürbach, a cadastral municipality of Schrems (Gmünd district). The animal walked calmly on the main road at a level crossing, eyewitness Rene Koppensteiner described according to ORF Lower Austria. Wolf Commissioner Aldin Selimovic described the sighting as “worrying”. According to “Kurier”, the Lower Austrian Hunting Association is checking the shooting of the animal.
