Unprofessionalism must finally be put aside – mistakes must not be repeated
Vienna (OTS) – “Now we finally have to pull out all the stops to get this future project off the ground. No more time should be wasted. One thing is clear: the current mistakes and omissions must not be repeated. The unprofessionalism must finally be put aside,” said the club chairman of the Vienna People’s Party, Markus Wölbitsch.
It was announced today that in an extraordinary supervisory board meeting of Wien Holding, which will take place in the first half of November, ways to realize the Wien Holding Arena will be defined and these will then be discussed with the owner’s representative, City Councilor for Finance Hanke.
However, there are still many unanswered questions that need to be clarified. This includes the specific modalities of how this project is to be financed by the respective project applicant as well as the exact figures for the construction costs and capacity utilization of the future arena.
In any case, it should not be the case that Vienna fails because of such large-scale projects. The current events surrounding the long-distance bus terminal only lead to the conclusion that the city government is simply unable to implement these projects in the necessary manner. “This future project, which is so important for Vienna, must now be implemented professionally, quickly and cost-efficiently. A proper award process must therefore be ensured,” concluded Wölbitsch.
