EU mandater Schmiedtbauer and Bundesrat parliamentary group leader Kornhäusl will also continue their successful work in the Styrian state government
Vienna (OTS) – “Congratulations to ÖVP EU MP Simone Schmiedtbauer and ÖVP Federal Council parliamentary group leader Karlheinz Kornhäusl on their new roles in the Styrian state government,” emphasizes August Wöginger, club chairman of the People’s Party. As part of her mandate in the European Parliament, Simone Schmiedtbauer has shown that, as an agricultural policy expert, she is a strong partner for local agriculture – as the new agricultural councilor in the Styrian state government, she will continue on her chosen course. With Karlheinz Kornhäusl, a proven expert is also taking over the state health council department, who has earned his merits as a specialist in internal medicine and in the Federal Council.
“With Simone Schmiedtbauer and Karlheinz Kornhäusl, two highly valued members are leaving the parliamentary club of the Austrian People’s Party – but they will continue their work in Styria successfully in the interests of the people,” said Wöginger, and continued: “At the same time, I am pleased regarding the return of Juliane Bogner-Strauß, who, following working in the Styrian state government, is returning to the National Council as a member of the People’s Party and thus to our parliamentary club!” (Ending)
