BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – WKU women’s golf coach Adam Gary proudly announced the addition of two exceptional recruits, Leah Edwards and Reagan Ramage, on Thursday. The talented duo is set to join the WKU family in the Fall of 2025 as incoming freshmen,

“I’m incredibly excited about the 2025 signing class,” Gary expressed. “Leah and Reagan embody the qualities we seek to cultivate within our program. They are not only hard-working and competitive but also boast impressive achievements on the golf course. I eagerly anticipate watching them progress and flourish as both golfers and individuals here on The Hill.”

Edwards hails from Northwest Guilford High School in Greensboro, North Carolina. She proudly holds the No. 6 ranking from the Carolina Golf Association and sits at No. 354 on the Junior Golf Scoreboard. A standout competitor, she clinched the title of 2022 North Carolina Junior Girls Champion and excelled in multiple prestigious events, qualifying for the USGA Women’s Fourball and the Junior PGA Championship. She has represented North Carolina in two Mid-Atlantic team matches and etched her name in history by shooting a remarkable tournament-record 6-under 66 at the Precision Girls Championship.

Throughout her high school career, Edwards has amassed an impressive 10 tournament victories, including clinching the 4A State Championship titles in both 2023 and 2024. Furthermore, she has been recognized with All-State honors for each of her four years, concluding her high school tenure with an impressive career stroke average below par.

Leah is the daughter of Regina and Kip Edwards and has two siblings – Elaina and Keira. Her father, Kip, made his mark as a baseball player at Milligan. Edwards has ambitious plans to pursue a degree in finance at WKU.

Edwards on joining WKU: “I chose WKU because of the incredible atmosphere that the school offers. I have been impressed by Coach Gary and believe that his guidance will be crucial in helping me reach my full potential as a player. The strong camaraderie among the girls on the team also appealed to me, not to mention that we have the privilege of playing and practicing at beautiful golf courses.”

Ramage is set to join WKU from Randall K Cooper High School in Burlington, Kentucky. She proudly holds the No. 365 ranking on the Junior Golf Scoreboard and notably qualified for the esteemed 123rd U.S. Women’s Amateur Championship, which took place at the iconic Bel Air Country Club in Los Angeles.

During her time at Randall K Cooper, Ramage excelled academically and athletically by earning six varsity letters and achieving a remarkable 19 career victories. She is a three-time first-team All-State honoree and has achieved five regional championships, four conference championships, finishing her senior season with a stellar stroke average below par.

The daughter of Rita and George Ramage, she is gearing up to study communications at WKU.

Ramage on joining WKU: “(WKU) immediately felt like home to me. Being familiar with the area and having numerous friends in the vicinity, the campus’s beauty captivated me. I adore everything about WKU! I am sincerely grateful for the opportunity Coach Gary has provided and thrilled to be a part of such an incredible team.”
