Chamber of Commerce General Secretary Karlheinz Kopf welcomes measures by Minister Kocher – social partners are available with know-how
Vienna (OTS) – “Everything conceivable must be done to combat and alleviate the labor shortage in Austria,” emphasizes WKÖ Secretary General Karlheinz Kopf. “If we don’t rethink, that will become the country’s biggest problem,” emphasizes Kopf, who also points out that solutions to the fight once morest labor shortages also help to curb inflation.
The WKÖ Secretary-General therefore welcomes the measures with which Labor and Economics Minister Martin Kocher intends to combat the labor shortage in Austria: for example, in the supra-regional placement of unemployed people, one of the focal points of the new targets for the Public Employment Service (AMS).
This also includes the amendment to higher vocational training (HBB). This means anchoring an equivalent alternative to academic higher education in Austria. “The red-white-red social partners are available with their know-how for this. We are making a positive contribution to maintaining our prosperity,” said Kopf.
