WK Vienna President Walter Ruck: “Georg Toifl leaves a big mark as a stakeholder and entrepreneur.”

Vienna (OTS) – “It was with great sadness that I learned of Georg Toifl’s passing today. Georg Toifl was not only a highly committed stakeholder for decades, but also a successful Viennese entrepreneur. He has left a major mark on both social partnership and the economy. We will miss Georg Toifl. Our sympathy and thoughts are with his relatives,” says Walter Ruck, President of the Vienna Chamber of Commerce.

Georg Toifl began his involvement as an interest representative in the mid-1970s and was the guild master of the Viennese textile cleaners. From 1995 to 2000 he worked as Vice President of the WK Vienna. From 2000 he took over the chairmanship of the federal trade and craft sector in the Austrian Chamber of Commerce, which he headed for ten years. Toifl was particularly involved in the further development of apprenticeship training but also as a collective agreement negotiator.

In parallel to his work as an interest representative, Toifl developed his mother’s cleaning company “Rosa Toifl” from a small Ottakringer business into one of the leading textile service companies in Vienna with more than 200 employees.
