The Pope said that every Christian has the duty to carry out the apostolic mission and to evangelize. During a meeting at the Vatican on Thursday morning, January 4, the Pope reminded a delegation from the Catholic University of Murcia in southeastern Spain of the responsibilities of Christians.

Speaking regarding José Luis Mendoza Pérez, founder of the University of Murcia, the Pope said that no one is perfect, but all are capable of love, and being remembered for that brings us closer to God and his mercy. The Pope recalled what the Archdeacon said regarding José Luis, a brother, a believer, a witness of God’s love, a person who passed away doing good.

Shri. Papa recalled that José Luis wanted. The Pope exhorted that every Christian, as part of the Church, the body of Christ and our mother, should be an apostle and an evangelist, and for that he should be concerned with human realities and existential questions of human beings.

The Pope called on all of you to be able to give Jesus Christ to everyone who comes close to your classrooms, your lives, and thereby form people capable of receiving God, bearing witness to him everywhere, and creating a fraternal community. The Pope added that the Church should be known by the good works of its members.
