The police are looking for witnesses to the fight which left one dead on Friday at Zaventem station, in Flemish Brabant, she communicated on Saturday at the request of the Hal-Vilvoorde investigating judge.
Anyone who has information regarding this fight, which occurred around 4:15 p.m. on Friday, is called to contact the police, via email ([email protected]) or telephone (free number 0800/30.300). The latter is more particularly looking for people who may have images of the event. “Two gangs of young people” clashed on the quays. During this fight, three of them found themselves on the rails. A young man was able to leave the track in time, as a high-speed train approached, but the other two were struck, including a 23-year-old young man who lost his life on the spot. On Friday, the Hal-Vilvoorde prosecutor’s office indicated that he had not yet been able to be identified with certainty. An autopsy is scheduled for Monday. The other young man, seriously injured by the train, is a 16-year-old man from Brussels. On Saturday, his days were no longer in danger.
