The 86.5-kilometer Yingshi Road section of Tai 7 Line, Datong Township, Yilan County, collapsed and mud flow blocked traffic this morning. At 4 o’clock this afternoon, a large mountain wall collapsed again. Fortunately, this Traffic control has been implemented on the section of the road and no casualties have been reported.
At the time of the incident in the afternoon, villagers in Leshui, Datong Township, used their mobile phones to take pictures of the 86.5-kilometer Yingshi road section on the opposite side of Taiwan Line 7. Witnesses called the scene of the end of the world. No one was trapped on the mountain wall.
Witnessing villagers said that the collapse of a large mountain wall was quite terrifying, and they were worried that the heavy rain in Yilan might continue to worsen the collapse.
