The menopause stage in women is characterized by a decrease in the production of estrogen in the body, which makes women suffer from hot flashes during the day or night and affects the amount of calcium in the bones, which leads to pain in the muscles and joints and may cause osteoporosis.
Heart-related conditions during menopause, such as dizziness or heart palpitations, can arise from low estrogen levels and can affect elastic arteries and blood flow.
Hormonal medications to relieve menopausal symptoms are not the best option for many women. There are many healthy and less expensive natural remedies such as home-made herbs, including:
1. Black Cohosh Root
It is used to reduce vaginal dryness and hot flashes in women following menopause, and research suggests that it is more effective for women who suffer from early menopause and can be taken in the form of pills, or tea, and pregnant women should not take it or women who suffer from blood pressure or problems in liver;
2. Flaxseed
Flaxseed helps reduce night sweats and helps balance female hormones.
3. Red Clover
Many women use red clover in the hope that it will relieve menopausal symptoms and to obtain the natural phytoestrogen.
4. Ginseng
Some studies have found evidence that different types of ginseng may help improve mood and improve sleep, which are complications of menopause.
5. Cold Drinks
Cold drinks help you feel cooler, so it is advised to avoid caffeinated drinks and alcohol, which increase diuresis, which encourages dehydration and can exacerbate hot flashes.
