without a license and insurance they crash in Via Rengione to avoid the CC checks

Moments of tension this afternoon in Missaglia where a gray small car, carrying two foreign citizens, crashed into a wall while trying to escape a check by the Carabinieri.
According to the information gathered so far, it seems that the patrol from the Casatenovo station had ordered the Citroen C3 to stop in order to proceed with a routine check; unfortunately, however, the driver – instead of stopping – pressed his foot on the accelerator, quickly disappearing.

Thus began a brief chase through the streets of the town, culminating in Via Rengione, between the town of Molinata and the provincial road 54; here, in an attempt to flee to avoid control, the driver lost control of the C3. He had not in fact taken into account the caliber of the road, particularly narrow; and so the small car ended up against a wall at the edge of the road, close to the houses.
An escape that did not last long; the two Africans, aged 20 and 21, were then stopped by the military, who in the meantime were joined by another patrol from the Merate Company, with colleagues who provided support in the control and identification procedures of the subjects.
According to the information that has emerged, it appears that the driver did not have a driving license and that the vehicle in which they were traveling (registered to the other person on board) was not insured.

Subjected to first aid by the operators of the Croce Bianca of Besana, neither of them reported injuries or trauma as a result of the incident; transport to the hospital was therefore not necessary.
Both were taken to the barracks for the relevant procedures; in addition to the fines for violating the highway code, they could also risk a complaint for resisting arrest, given the conduct adopted towards the military.
The car in which they were travelling was finally recovered by a tow truck, with the scene of the accident cleared around 6pm, about an hour after the episode which had brought quite a stir in the afternoon for the residents of Via Rengione.
