On the night of tomorrow (CET) the winners of the Golden Globe awards will be announced in Beverly Hills. The Association of Foreign Press (HFPA) awards the awards in 25 film and television categories for the 79th time.
The organization came under fire in 2021 for lack of diversity and lack of transparency.
Afterwards, the HFPA association elected a new board in the course of reforms and took on more members. A good 100 foreign journalists are now voting on the prices.
This time the event takes place without star guests or reporters and without the usual reception on the red carpet. It will not be broadcast live. The names of the winners should be announced on social networks.
The dramas “Belfast” and “The Power of the Dog” are favorites, each with seven nominations. The Spielberg musical “West Side Story”, the tragic comedy “Licorice Pizza” and the satire “Don’t Look Up” also have several chances to win.
