Within the framework of the Medical and Health Olympics that take place in Posadas from October 8 to 15, a symposium on Medicine and Sports was held.

“Value of diagnostic imaging” was the name of his exhibition, through which he went through different cases of his career to share treatments and reflections. In addition, he thanked the invitation and acknowledged feeling very happy “being the son of a missionary family and being able to observe all his growth.”

For his part, Lic. Martín Petrelli (Kinesiologist. Current kinesiologist of the Ecuadorian National Team), spoke regarding “Kinetic approach to sports injuries”; Dr. Marcelo Mariño (clinical doctor. Specialist in psychoneurobiology and clinical obesity. President of the Internal Medicine Specialty Evaluation Court), did the same with “Emotional Soccer”; Claudio Marucci (sports traumatologist, works at the Spanish hospital Rosario, teacher of the ATFA course), dealt with “Infant-juvenile injuries”; and Martín De Elía (orthopedic doctor. Specialist in orthopedic reconstructive surgery and bone lengthening; in children’s orthopedics and neuro-orthopedics and in sports medicine), spoke regarding “Joint preservation in amateur athletes”.

The event, which included a curricular score and delivery of certificates, was aimed at the sports field and covered the three main circuits that are carried out before the diagnosis of injury: diagnostic imaging and the different treatments that include kinesiology, traumatology and psychology.

Although each speaker marked their specialty in their talk, they all agreed on the need to address each case in an integral manner, to draw on the experiences and knowledge of colleagues, and to constantly train, taking into account the updates that advance in the field. .

In this way, the Olympics – in charge of the Organizing Committee and the Provincial Government as host – not only offer a sports agenda but also an academic one, understanding the importance of research and training for the pursuit of excellence in medicine and Health promotion.
