The volleyball players of the Polish national team on Sunday, following a very good game, defeated the leader of the tournament – Japan 3:0. In none of the sets did they allow their rivals to score even 20 points (25:17, 25:19, 25:18). As a result, the Poles advanced to second place in the table and are already sure of a place on the podium before the final tournament of the League of Nations.

Polish volleyball players will play in the quarter-finals of the Nations League with Brazil or Slovenia
It is already known that there are only two scenarios when it comes to the rivals of the Poles in the quarter-finals. The white-and-reds will face Brazil or Slovenia. At the moment, Poles are in the second position, but they can still lose it. The order in the table is determined by the number of wins, and then the number of points and the balance of sets. Now the Poles have 10 wins and 25 points. The US record is nine wins but 28 points. So if the Americans beat the Bulgarians, they will overtake the Poles in the table. If the Bulgarians win, the team led by coach Nikola Grbic will keep the position of the runner-up and will face Slovenia, currently seventh in the table, in the quarter-finals.
The USA vs Bulgaria match will start at 10:00 on Monday. 5.30. Broadcast on Polsat Sport. Two more matches will be played before that: Cuba – Iran (Sunday, 22.30) and France – Germany (Sunday, 2.00).
The final tournament of the League of Nations will be played at Ergo Arena on July 19-23. The quarter-finals will take place on the first two days, July 19 and 20. The semi-finals are scheduled for July 22, followed by the final and the third-place duel a day later. A year ago, France won the League of Nations, ahead of the United States and Poland.
