The event will feature exciting competition between the world’s best 3-a-side basketball players, including medalists from the recent Paris Olympics.
This year’s tournament brings together the elite of 3-a-side basketball from around the world. The Dutch team won the gold medal at the Paris Olympics, while Amsterdam will be in the tournament this year. Also joining the competition are Ub from Serbia, as well as Vienna from Austria, Hangzhou from China, and Ulaanbaatar MMC Energy from Mongolia.
The final list of participating teams is still being prepared with more teams expected to qualify for the event.
The Abu Dhabi Championship, which is part of the World Tour season, will see the participation of 14 international teams, in addition to a local team from the famous community 3-a-side basketball league.
The community tournament continues throughout the year, and its competitions conclude with the winning team getting the right to represent Abu Dhabi in the main event on October 26 and 27.
The Abu Dhabi 3-a-side Basketball World Tour offers over $160,000 in prize money, with $40,000 awarded to the first-place team, $30,000 to the second-place team, and $22,000 to the third-place team.
The event also includes various entertainment activities, including musical performances, community events and competitions, in addition to the famous slam dunk competition and ball throwing competition.
