The company specializing in audio amps and headphones yesterday unveiled its brand new wireless headphones with active noise reduction.
Motif II ANC earphones which, if they seem to bring some improvements, do not revolutionize the range launched two years ago. Marshall takes advantage of the launch of the IFA in Berlin to unveil its wireless headphones which nevertheless respect the unique visual line given to all of its products.
Un design unique
In 2021, Marshall launched a brand new line of headphones on the market called Motif ANC.

Two years later, we finally discover their successors with the Motif II ANC, which keep this aspect so original. In-ear headphones with a knurled stem with a texture reminiscent of the jack sockets of its amps. The case, which has been designed with 70% recycled plastic according to the brand, sports a leatherette texture like the cases of the Minor III headphones or the headband of the Major IV headphones.
In addition to work on the design, the brand with a rich history, bought this year by Zound Industries (the Swedish company that produced Marshall headphones and speakers), still brings some improvements to its headphones. Starting with the addition of an additional microphone on each earpiece, giving hope for better active noise reduction, or at least clearer calls.
Revised autonomy and LE compatibility
Marshall announces that it has added ten hours of battery life in all to its headphones compared to the previous model. It will therefore be possible to listen to music non-stop for six hours before having to recharge them, and up to 30 hours in total counting the recharges of the case – 15 minutes in the case can restore up to an hour of ‘autonomy. It is also compatible with wireless charging. The headphones are equipped with 6 mm dynamic transducers and each weigh 4.3 g, which is to say not much.
The Motif II ANC are also compatible with the Bluetooth LE Audio standard which allows, according to the company “to deliver higher quality sound while increasing streaming range and improving audio synchronization for better connection when watching video”. If this is good news, there is still a problem, raised by the media The Verge. With the technology still in its rollout phase, the number of compatible devices on the other side is still small. The headphones support multipoint connection and SBC and AAC audio codecs, before adding LC3 a little later.
The Marshall Motif II ANC headphones will be available from September 12 in France at a price of €199.
