“We did it! The Shout of Carnival 2023 in its XIII Edition was a complete success. To the rhythm of calypso, next to the people, with fantasies, bumbac and with great joy; We walked through our streets in the Caroní municipality”, the Guayana calypseros shared on social networks.
With a large troupe made up of hundreds of Guayanese who came to dance calypso, the representatives of the municipality’s musical groups offered a cultural gift to the city.
Manuel Bolívar, one of the members of the organizing team, gave a positive assessment of the activity.
He highlighted the work of: Four and Bumbac, Dreams Calypse, Bereju, Yuruani, The Word, The Golden Ground, Orikuare, Yaraví, Calypse Zone, Ojana, Star Calypse, The PowerPoint Calypse, Crazy Time, Seventh Sense, Beto and his gold calypse , Party Time, Star Calypso, Fundacagua and Cumachi.
The activity began following noon this Sunday, January 22. Two large comparsas were assembled. One left from El Gallo and another from the La 45 intersection to meet at Parque Bicentenario in El Roble.
They thanked the support of the Caroní Mayor’s Office, the Bolivar State Governor’s Office through its Secretariats of Tourism and Culture.
The musicians trust that the Caroní carnivals will be full blown as the tradition of those who go every year to enjoy the costume parades and calypso on Gumilla Avenue must be maintained.
