The Brazilian national team and Sao Paulo Santos are preparing for the funeral of Pele, whose health has recently deteriorated, as he suffers from failure in various organs in his body as complications from colon cancer.
And it was reported on social media that the funeral is expected to take place at the Villa Belmero stadium, the home of Brazilian Santos, which is Pele’s favorite team and played for it professionally.
The team chose the stadium to be the place where thousands of fans will come to pay their final farewell to the legend.
Pelé is still alive, but Santos is already preparing for the funeral.

For his part, the Brazilian national team is still studying the possibility of replacing three of its five stars in the official jersey with hearts, in reference to three World Cups won by Pele.
Edson Arantes do Nascimento, better known as Pele, is considered by many to be the best soccer player in the world in history. He was hospitalized weeks ago due to a failure of various organs that endangered his life, as a result of colon cancer that he had suffered from for several years.

The Albert Einstein Hospital announced that colon cancer had “worsened” and that the 82-year-old former star needed “more comprehensive care for kidney and heart failure”.
Pele was taken to hospital in Sao Paulo on November 29 for what his medical team described as a re-evaluation of his chemotherapy treatment, which he has been receiving since he underwent surgery to remove a colon polyp in September 2021.
