With simple home steps, you can maintain the health of your teeth

Taking care of dental health is one of the most important health issues that doctors seek to encourage people to adhere to.

According to dentist Anna Middleton, there are several simple home steps that help maintain healthy teeth and gums:

  • Eating apples, chewing which helps clean teeth naturally.
  • Chewing gum following meals, which helps to remove stuck food from between the teeth.
  • Drinking water.
  • Floss daily.

According to Middleton, good dental health can protect once morest diseases, including Alzheimer’s and heart disease.

“Not only does plaque and harmful bacteria in your mouth contribute to tooth decay and gum disease, but it is also capable of entering the bloodstream and other parts of the body,” she added.

And she continued, “With regard to children, their sensitivity towards caries is higher, and therefore attendance at the dentist is more important for them.”

And Middleton confirmed: “All children must regularly see the dentist, and brush their teeth twice a day, with fluoride toothpaste for two minutes at a time.”
