This Saturday, March 2, 2024, from 10 a.m. to 11 p.m., the Pierrette and Roger Mayonnade sports complex will therefore host the first edition of this new living room video game.
Two e-sport pros will be present
Imagined with the participation of young people from the town, this 100% gaming event offers a broad program: 11 arcade machines made available, 12 driving simulators, 12 games stations accessible to all (PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One series X and games like Mario Strikers, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, Just Dance 2023, Naruto, Gran Turismo 7, FIFA 23) retrograming pole with legendary consoles: Atari 3600, Sega MasterSystem, Super Nintendo, DreamCast, Apple II, MegaDrive…
Also, two tournaments are organized : one on Fifa 24 and the other on Super Smash Bros Ultimate. Up to 64 players are admitted per tournament, with 500 euros in rewards put into play. On this occasion, two professional e-sport players will be present: Nathan “Spectral” Wion and Maxime “Astral” Wion.
Workshops and a conference debate
Finally, workshops are organized during the day in the conviviality room. One, called Fake News, allows you to test your talent for fact-checkeur : the goal is to uncover false information found in articles. The other, entitled Numdo, puts you in the shoes of an agent of the “PHAROS” brigade, who warns of dangers on the
social networks and in which you will have to unmask the cyberstalker of a schoolgirl.
All these workshops, offered by Cap Sciences, are free and accessible from 11 years old. They are intended for young people but also for parents who wish (15 places per workshop, by reservation at 06.29.16.53.63 or on [email protected]).
To close the show, a conference-debate is organized from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. by the association Lève les yeux, on the theme Parenthood, screens and social networks.
