A series of looting and incidents were recorded in the Barrio Meiggs this Sunday in the capital, following a march parallel to that of the CUT called by the Workers’ Class Confederation in the framework of Labor Day.
In that context, at least three people were shotwho -according to those attending the march- were allegedly attacked by itinerant merchants from the sector.
One of the injured people is a female journalist from the communication medium Señal 3 La Victoria, who was injured in the skull and would be in vital risk.
A fourth person, meanwhile, was injured due to throwing a blunt object.
The mayor of Estación Central, Felipe Muñoz, pointed out on Twitter that they have pictures of those who fired the shots.

parallel march
In particular, this demonstration began in the Alameda with Brazilfrom where they moved to the stage located at the intersection with Matucana.
This is an act that is unrelated to the one called by the Unitary Central of Workers in Plaza Baquedano.
After this parallel march there were clashes in the Alameda with Exposition between demonstrators and Carabineros. With sticks and stones they tried to attack police personnel, which is why the uniformed men began to use water and gas cannons to dissuade the protest.
In the nearby streets there were also barricades, the launching of Molotov cocktails and looting of some commercial premises located in the surroundings.
In the midst of these events, individuals who apparently work as street vendors broke into the place and fired shots at protestersinjuring at least three people.
For now there is no confirmation of detainees regarding what happened.
