“We realized that, indeed, another thing is with the guitar,” the president acknowledged this Sunday regarding his first eight months in government.
After the president’s statements Gabriel Boric in which he recognized regarding his eight months in the Government that “another thing is with the guitar”, the deputies of the UDI Flor Weisse and Cristhian Moreira stated that this “puts an end to the theory of the moral superiority of the top leaders of the FA”.
Parliamentarians criticized that those who are currently in government, “While they were in Congress for the last four years, they made President Piñera’s life impossible, they accused him constitutionally and rejected all his security projects.”
“Now that they are in charge of the Executive, they had to mature suddenly and they have spent 9 months apologizing or admitting that they were wrong”stressed the parliamentarians.
As they added, “we hope that now the issue of security is taken seriously, not only in the Southern Macrozone, but throughout the country and progress is made in projects that provide all the necessary tools to protect the lives of the country’s inhabitants. ”.
“Another thing is with guitar”
President Gabriel Boric assured this Sunday that the most complex moments he has had to face in these 8 months of Government was the triumph of the Rejection in the exit plebiscite and the failed visit of the former minister Izkia Siches to Temucuicui, in the region of La Araucanía. In this context, he indicated that “we realized that another thing is with the guitar.”
His words seem to echo what was said by former president Sebastián Piñera in September, when he stated that during his elected term they had a robust security agenda but it was “rejected by the then opposition and current government. And they, from the government, today realize that another thing is with the guitar…”.
Criticism of the security agenda
The statements of the highest authority continue to generate blows in the authorities of the southern Macrozone.
The mayor of Lebú, Cristián Peña, took the opportunity to thank the president for his attitude in acknowledging the existence of acts of a terrorist nature in the area, adding that the application of the law does not solve the problem, so in his opinion, it is the norm that needs modifications.
For his part, deputy for National Renewal and representative of Araucanía, Miguel Mellado, invented the president to make or promote the adjustments he deems necessary to provide the State with more tools to prosecute these crimes.
The reforms to the law remain in the Senate and consist of providing special techniques for the investigation of these crimes.
