With full pay, the government announces Eid al-Adha holidays for the private sector

The Ministry of Manpower issued a circular to the directorates of manpower in the governorates, confirming that it was decided to grant workers who are addressed by the provisions of Labor Law No. 12 of 2003 an official paid leave from Saturday, July 9, until Thursday, July 14, on the occasion of the blessed Eid Al-Adha for the Islamic year. 1443.

Muhammad Saafan, Minister of Manpower, said that this comes in light of the Prime Minister’s decision in this regard to determine the Eid al-Adha holiday in ministries, government departments, public bodies, local administration units, public sector companies and public business sector companies, and in the context of ensuring the unification of official vacation dates for all Workers in the various sectors of the state – whenever possible – in order to achieve the social and national purpose of official holidays on occasions and holidays.

The minister clarified that the employer may employ the worker on these days or some of them, if the working conditions so require, and the worker in this case, in addition to his wages for these days or some of them, is entitled to double this wage.

On this occasion, the minister congratulated the people and workers of Egypt and the Arab and Islamic nation on the occasion of the blessed Eid al-Adha, praying to God to make it a good feast for our dear Egypt, and for God to preserve our dear Egypt, and to return this occasion to us with goodness and blessings.

Saafan expressed his wishes that the holiday would bring all the good wishes for Egypt and its great people, calling on God Almighty to further prosperity and progress towards a better future for Egypt and the Egyptians under the leadership of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi.
