If you are a lover of sports activity, you love sport, it is part of your life or you are loving it, surely, you will be one of the chillanejos who, on April 7, will participate in the Great Family Race and Heritage Cycle, which will mark in Chillán and the rest of the communes of Ñuble, the celebration of National Sports Day.
“National Sports Day includes sports activities throughout the country and the Ñuble Region. From the Presidential Delegation and the Government, it is important to highlight sports activities, because they contribute to having a healthy life, to social cohesion, but also, it provides public security to our citizens, a tool to combat drugs,” stressed the Presidential Delegate of Ñuble, Anwar Farrán, at the launch of both activities.
The Seremi of Sports of Ñuble, Julio Jorquera, stressed that on the page www.diadeldeporte.cl the community will be able to find the extensive program of activities that will be carried out in the 21 communes of the region.
“There will be activities in the 21 communes of Ñuble and in all regions. For us as the Ministry of Sports, it is significant that sport takes over public spaces, not only from the point of view of security, but because we are working with the Ministry of Health, to lower mental health rates, of sedentary lifestyle and obesity.”
Running and cycling for the family
The Family Run includes 3.5 km.
It will begin on the esplanade of the Regional Government, covering Libertad, Argentina, Vicente Méndez and Paul Harris Streets, ending at the Quilamapu Sports Complex, where there will be a sports and information circuit.
To this activity, there will be added, simultaneously, a heritage cycle organized by the Seremia of Cultures, Arts and Heritage.
“We will join the Ministry of Sports to do this heritage cycle, to promote sports development, but also cultural development, which will depart at 10 a.m., from the front of the Escuela México, in Plaza Santo Domingo and from there we will tour some heritage places such as The Cathedral, The Mural of María Martner, the Church of Las Carmelitas. We invite the entire community to participate since it will have the Bullfight and the alternative of the Heritage Cicletada,” explained Scarlet Higaldo, Seremi of Cultures, Arts and Heritage.
