This Sunday, November 17, Medellín celebrated the 40 years of opening of the Carlos Vieco Ortiz Theater with the presentation of rock groups and an audiovisual production in tribute to this cultural reference, located on Nutibara Hill.

This work compiles the posters of some of the most important events in the history of Vieco.
In the end, attendees enjoyed a concert with the four winning bands of the Stimuli for Art and Culture 2024. Representing the metal genre were the band Neural; in post punk Los Malkavian made their presentation; Double A provided the rock quota and to close the night was the renowned punk band

The Carlos Vieco Theater continues to be configured as the cultural stage of Medellín that has allowed new voices of the city to be known and in the celebration of its 40 years it will be no exception.
“This celebration is an invitation to recognize the historical importance of Carlos Vieco as the cradle of new voices and cultural movements that have shaped our artistic identity. More than a space, it is a symbol of encounter, creativity and community, which continues to be a beacon for those who see in art a way to transform realities,” said the Secretary of Citizen Culture, Santiago Silva.
