How the increase in prepaid fees is calculated
For the assembly of the cost index, which is prepared by the Superintendence of Health Services, four are taken into account:
- Costs of human resources: these are the percentages of salary improvement of employees and staff, according to the parities of health workers than of private clinics. The factor that has the most weight in calculating the index is human resources.
- Medication values: the evolution of the reference values is analyzed, which arise from a list of products, drawn up by the Health authorities, updated month by month.
- Prices of medical supplies: key factor, since several of these are imported. The variation of the item “Medicinal products, artifacts and equipment for health”, which makes up the INDEC Consumer Price Index (IPC), is taken into account.
- Other inputs and “general expenses”, which fall within the framework of the CPI price indices calculation, in various items.
