With an excellent Jayson Tatum, Boston came back strong and recovered against Atlanta; Dirty ankle night in Boston

Defeated in Indianapolis in the previous game, the Celtics of Jayson Tatum (33 points at 12/25, 8 rebounds, 7 assists) took revenge on the Hawks at TD Garden tonight, with success 107-98 also worn by Derrick White and Grant Williams18 points each, and Marcus Smart, 16 points and 4 assists off the bench. Boston, who has played the last 3 quarters without Jaylen Brownhit in the ankle in the 1st quarter, remains on 10 wins in 12 games and 3 out of 4 since the All-Star break.

Atlanta (7/31 at 3-points) led by Bring Young and his 31 points (12/25 including 2/7 from 3-pointers, 2 rebounds, 6 assists) and a Bogdan Bogdanovic at 25 points, lost on his side for the 2nd time in 2 games, following having counted up to 17 points in advance in the 1st half, before cashing a 14-0 at the start of the 3rd quarter. Boston led the period 31-13 and started the final quarter ahead, 82-78.

Young, briefly released in the 1st quarter following twisting his left ankle on a flagrant whistle to Smart (Young fired his shots, left then returned 6’20 from the end of the 2nd) was held to 9 points following the break. The score went to 102-88 in favor of Boston (47 rebounds to 37 in the game) 3’11 from the end following a series of two 3-pointers signed Williams and made possible thanks to the defense of Smart.
