MUMBAI: Fact check websites have termed the allegation that BCCI Secretary Jai Shah took a picture with Pakistan Army General Qamar Bajwa’s son Saad Bajwa. According to websites, a picture of Jai Shah with Bollywood actress Urvashi Rautela and his brother Yashraj Rautela was misused. The picture taken at the Dubai International Stadium was shared by many people on Instagram.
Some accounts claim that the young man standing next to Jaishah is Qamar Bajwa’s son. Many people shared the picture on Facebook making the same argument. The film spread after news that Shah refused to hoist the Indian national flag during the India-Pakistan match in the Asia Cup.
Many celebrities including Rautela came to Dubai to watch India’s match against Pakistan. Saad Bajwa also came from Pakistan to watch the game. Hotstar has footage of him watching the game sitting next to Jayshak.
Meanwhile, India will face Pakistan today in the Asia Cup Super Four. India will be confident of their group stage win against traditional opponents. The match is at 7.30 pm in Dubai. India won the first match thanks to all-rounder Hardik Pandya. Ravindra Jadeja is out of the team due to injury, which is a setback for India.
